As you walk around the first floor of our school, I’m sure you’ve noticed the paintings on the walls. Perhaps you might even had a chance to see people working on scaffolds creating the elusive paintings that seem to appear magically overnight. Actually, most of the paintings take almost the whole year. The few students who get the chance to do this work hard and have the great privilege of legally leaving their mark on the school.

The cold autumn air pushes my existence into questioning.
Sounds fade out until i can only hear my heartbeat.
my thoughts are muffled under angst and confusion.
numb legs longing for a rest,
another step closer to far away
the cold starts to disipate.
another thought gets lost in this full mind.
the city sleeps and dim lamps light my path.
an unknown destination cradles answers to my many questions.
a fuzzy future moves further from a regretted past.
