Over the years, all major sports have experienced major developments, and hockey is no exception. Come out and support your Warrior football team. This Saturday the Cheektowaga Warriors face off against the Hornell Red Raiders at Marina Auto Stadium in Rochester, NY. Head on down to the high school at 11:30 for a pregame party and sign decorating kickoff event. The 1st 75 kids to turn in permission slips will get to ride down en masse on a bus. These students also receive discounted tickets.

On Friday Challenge continues its drive to increase awareness of homelessness with its annual Sleepout for the Homeless event. Students from Central are volunteering to come to the school and sleep outside for the night. Each kid has to collect donations of at least $25 to take part and as an added bonus receive a commemorative Sleepout for the Homeless shirt. The donations go to shelters and organizations such as Friends of the Night and Compass House. The money then gets used for supplies for the shelters. Each student gets …

The Cheektowaga Central Warriors has just had one of its most exciting fall sports season for the 2009 school year. Not one, not two, but three division titles were earned by CCHS sports teams – girls varsity volleyball, boys varsity soccer, and varsity football. What has made these teams so successful?
