With 2009 behind us and 2010 ahead, what better way to kick off the break than the Cheektowaga Central annual volleyball tournament? And what better event than that to symbolize the frendship and carmeraderie of the Christmas season. This year’s tournament was a bit more surprising than those of years past.

Snowball took place on Saturday, January 16th and went from 7-10 at night. This year’s theme was a Winter Wonderland and with the help of student council they sold tickets outside of lunches and decorated the gym. “A few days went into planning this dance, but it was really enjoyable and was a lot of fun,” stated senior Dominic Parisi, member of student council.  A professional decorator also pitched in with the creation of this dance to make this a really captivating night!

Bright and  early on Tuesday, the first week of Christmas break, our school’s Spirit Club  took the school’s van to embark on their journey of  Holiday compassion. I just so happened to be one of the “privileged” members ( as Mrs. Campbell would say) of five others : junior Kari Orlowski, sophomore Nhi Dang, senior Chris Ceccato, and senior  Sarah Litwin.  Mrs. Higgins and Mrs. Campbell were the supervisors of the event.
